Special features regarding research activities

OTH Amberg-Weiden maintains a research cooperation with the University Hospital Erlangen. In the medical field, this has resulted in high-profile publications in internationally renowned publication bodies such as The Lancet-Rheumatology. The university has a research operating theatre, a biomechanics laboratory and a medical training centre where a wide range of research topics can be addressed, from movement analysis to microbial research and medical didactics.

Other special features

The Institute for Sustainability and Ethics (INE) combines the activities of OTH Amberg-Weiden in the field of sustainability and ethics. At OTH Amberg-Weiden, sustainable development is understood as a "whole institution approach" and includes the fields of teaching, research, campus management and transfer. The INE coordinates and develops strategies and implements projects to integrate sustainability and ethics in the university's fields of action.
