Special features regarding research activities
The research projects at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences address questions of structural change in social and charitable, nursing and pastoral services and develop exemplary model concepts in dealing with new social and societal problems. The three main research areas have emerged: "Education, Socialisation, Inclusion", "Healthcare Research in Gerontology, Nursing and Healthcare" and "Religion and Ethics". The first two focal points are included in the nationwide research map of the University Rectors' Conference.
Other special features
We are a system-accredited, church-recognised university that operates a comprehensive quality management system according to the internationally recognised EFQM model. For this, we were awarded the German Excellence Prize in bronze by the Initiative Ludwig Erhard Preis e.V. in 2023.
