Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The courses of study at the Göttingen Health Campus have a strong focus on practical application and interdisciplinarity. The so-called “Mantelcurriculum”, in which students study alongside students from other subjects encourages the students to think outside the box at an early stage. This overall pedagogical concept, which is specially tailored to the goals of the degree programmes, offers the opportunity to work in multi-professional teams in preparation for later collaboration.

Special features regarding the equipment

The Göttingen Health Campus has excellently equipped Skills Labs. In the Skills Labs, various simulation scenarios are implemented in different sectors of nursing, which involve people in need of nursing care as well as team scenarios for nurses. The facilities are adequately equipped for interdisciplinary simulations as well as for the disciplines of Nursing Sciences, Midwifery Science, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Orthopaedics, Social Work and Medical Technology.

Other special features

The Göttingen Health Campus organised an inter-professional specialist day according to the motto "Health for all!" The following participants were invited: researchers, teachers, students and practitioners from various professions in Health and Social Care as well as other interested parties. Participants were able to discuss the meaning of diversity competence and how it can be further developed in the field of Health and Social Care.
