Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

Basics in six or seven lectures and in the basic seminars for the individual subject areas; Seminars with 30 participants, main seminars with an upper limit of 20; Diverse and varying range of courses, many options for students, also regular offering s from cultural and social anthropology.

A new development this year is the cooperation with the University Keele/GB. A joint master's degree programme is currently also being planned.

Special features regarding research activities

The DFG project – Priority Programme 2267 – "Digitalisation of Workplaces" is coordinated by the Institute of Sociology (Prof. Dr. Sabine Pfeiffer). Accordingly, digitalisation is a current focus of research; In addition, a research focus in Legal Anthropology; Participation in CRC 1265 "Refiguration of Spaces"; Additional focus on occupational and industrial sociology, as well as cultural and knowledge sociology; And a few projects on the pandemic.
