Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The Bachelor's degree course at the University Medical Centre Greifswald comprises 6 semesters. This lays the foundations for an in-depth 4-semester Master's degree course. In addition to the basics, the Bachelor's degree programme also offers specialisations in the field of specialized nursing, e.g. Emergency medicine and intensive care, oncology and palliative care as well as paediatric care.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

The Master's degree course in Clinical Nursing Sciences (MSc) is in the planning stage and is expected to begin in the winter semester of 2024.

Special features regarding research activities

Embedded in the key research areas of the Greifswald University Medicine (Community Medicine, Molecular Medicine, Individualized Medicine and Digital Health), the Institute for Nursing Sciences and Interprofessional Learning focuses on the aspects of mobility and quality of life for people in need of care and assistance, nursing interventions, particularly with regard to pressure ulcers and wound care, nursing dependency, community health nursing, patient education, digitalisation and technology in nursing and interprofessional cooperation.
