Special features regarding teaching

Through the close integration of theory and practice, you will gain experience in developing your professional skills and finding innovative solutions to problems. The Master´s degree programme in electrical engineering is characterised by a high level of practical relevance as well as extensive transfer from theory to practice. This degree course is characterised by learning in small groups and close interactions with lecturers.

Special features regarding the equipment

Use of the electrical engineering laboratories of all 9 DHBW locations. These include ‘living labs’ – virtual factories, engine test bench in Friedrichshafen, hydrogen laboratory, control room; EMV laboratory; Mobile laboratories for experiments at home; Technical events at dual partners and non-university institutions

Special features regarding research and development

Research at the DHBW does not only aim to generate new knowledge. It also always aspires to serve economic and social progress through innovation, transfer and reference to teaching. The dual principle is also reflected in the research. DHBW has a large number of knowledge and laboratory centres as well as research clusters. For the degree course, these include, among others, the Competence Center for Manufacturing and Information Management (FIM) (Mosbach), the Research Cluster Electrochemistry (ELCH) (Mannheim) and the Lab for Clean Urban Transportation (Stuttgart).

Other special features

Involvement in the state-of-the-art Heilbronn educational campus with a variety of universities and non-university research institutions
