Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

SPIRIT mission statement: Student-oriented / practice-based / international / research-driven / interprofessional / in Tübingen; The Nursing degree programme is taught at two locations (University of Tübingen and Esslingen University of Applied Sciences); In the methods and skills teaching and learning area, learning takes place in practical nursing situations. This is carried out by medical practice instructors. Furthermore, the skills lab area is offered, in which realistic practice on models is possible.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Students participate in the offers that take place within the framework of the Health Hub of the CIVIS University Association in Europe, for example, blended intensive programmes or summer schools.

Other special features

Complex nursing processes are taught in consideration of diversity and sustainability with direct integration of theory and practice. Students with family responsibilities will find extensive specialist study counselling services as well as a course of study with an individual study and examination plan. There are work areas and research projects on inclusion and diversity. Continuous improvements are made with regard to climate and environmental protection as well as sustainability.
