Very good teaching/research conditions including in the area of experimental behavioural economics, consumer behaviour, e-business ("MaXLab") or financial engineering ("FINTECH lab"); Library with online access to numerous standard journals and relevant databases; Department has 60 PC cluster workstations that are state of the art; Modern faculty building (architectural award, WiFi throughout), offices/teaching rooms/labs in one place, meeting and advisory spaces in a "Faculty Centre"; Permanent media loan (notebooks, projectors, etc.) in the Dean's Office of the faculty.

Support for founders

The faculty has a Chair in Entrepreneurship. It forms the institutional core of a larger start-up and transfer-oriented "Interaction Centre". Both start-up research and specific start-up assistance are provided here. Last but not least, interdisciplinary professorships are also used to support engineering-based start-up activities, provide business administration support to "ego. incubators", etc. Furthermore, the department's curriculum offers a rich variety of courses on preparing business plans, entrepreneurial decisions and actions.

Other special features

Very high level of internationality in student groups (ISP students from up to 40 countries); More than 41% international students in the summer semester 2022. Sustainability Office of OVGU - contributes to implementing OVGU's sustainability strategy. There are unique and recurring events initiated by the Sustainability Office as well as various events that are supported: Eco-social University Days; Progressive Introductory Weeks; Event format "OVGU Discusses Sustainability"; Academic Bicycle Challenge 2022; Sustainability certificate from the OVGU - transdisciplinary, cross-curricular programme.
