Special features regarding teaching

The teaching has a high degree of practical relevance as the professors and teaching staff have experience in industry and lessons are interactive and dialogue-oriented.

Special features regarding the international orientation

An obligatory semester abroad is firmly anchored in the curriculum. Likewise, Business English is taught in all courses. The full-time Bachelor programmes offer the option of choosing another mandatory foreign language. Additional optional languages are offered on a voluntary basis. The international atmosphere on campus is strengthened by international students and visiting lecturers.

Special features regarding research activities

The ISM has several research institutes where the focus is on conducting research relevant to practice, the findings of which have immediate added value. There has been a joint institute with the consulting company Kienbaum for many years, where highly current topics are researched and published.

Support for founders

The Institute Entrepreneurship@ISM offers a start-up advisory service to all students, connects them with other business founders and start-up networks and has its own ISM start-up prize.
