Special features regarding the equipment

New building with new, modern and contemporary facilities. The Hamm campus has a clean room, an S2 laboratory and an open prototyping laboratory, among other facilities. The training laboratories are state-of-the-art and in line with industry standards. There are laboratories for general, organic and physical chemistry, biochemistry, instrumental analysis, biology and genetics, metrology, forensic genetics and special food and environmental analysis. There are large areas available for student projects within the framework of the training.

Special features regarding research and development

Special feature of all research projects of the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences is the interdisciplinarity, which results from the organisational structure of the university with its four interdisciplinary departments and some 10 interdisciplinary research fields. The Environmental Monitoring and Forensic Chemistry degree course has links with the research field of materials science, which comprises several staff, laboratories and doctoral students. The projects have a high practical relevance, come up with innovative solutions and have links to companies. One focus is on instrumental and analytical sensor technology.

Other special features

The Hochschule Hamm-Lippstadt has a new building on both campuses, the latest technology (lecture theatres and laboratories) and also provides many student workspaces (group and individual workspaces). Existing partnerships offer numerous opportunities for innovation, including the Fraunhofer application centre SYMILA, a vehicle electronics competence centre, the Institute for Automotive Lighting Technology and Mechatronics (L-LAB) and the Research Institute for Automotive Electronics (E-LAB).
