Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The structure of the degree course and a very broad range of electives and fields of study enable flexible and individualised study. Modern teaching methods (e.g. blended learning) are also used. The degree course contains a great deal of practical relevance and is amplified by the choice of an area of specialisation, a practical semester, practical courses and the Bachelor's thesis. In this way, every student is able to study a chosen area of interest in greater depth.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

Existing knowledge and experience are expanded with a Master's degree.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The focus is primarily on the integration and exchange between the different cultures in order to achieve innovative and creative solutions, e.g. in internationally assembled research teams. It is possible to earn a double degree.

Other special features

It is essential to develop a comprehensive strategy on how sustainability can be integrated into all areas of the university, lived by all members of the university, and carried into the world. It is important for us to consider and connect the perspectives of ecology, economy, and social issues in equal measure. Equality and equal opportunity are of central importance and refer not only to equality of the sexes, but also to equal treatment of people of different nations, cultural or religious origin and sexual orientation.
