Special features regarding teaching

In the practice-integrated Bachelor´s degree course in Industrial Engineering, practical phases in the company (eleven weeks) alternate with theoretical phases at the university (twelve weeks). The students prepare themselves for the theoretical phases during the practical phases using didactically prepared self-study materials. The compulsory modules offer a broad education in Engineering in Business Administration and cross-disciplinary qualifications. In three practical modules and as part of the Bachelor thesis, the students carry out practice-related projects.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The International Academic Office of the Bielefeld university of applied sciences advises students on study visits abroad and financing options and places them at foreign partner universities. The EU programme LEONARDO DA VINCI is also available to promote work placements by graduates in EU countries. Grants for periods abroad are available to students (e.g. Erasmus), graduates, teaching staff and non-academic staff from a variety of programmes, among them the education programmes of the European Union.
