Special features regarding teaching

A special feature of both the "Frankfurt Bachelor's degree in Economics" is the close integration of Business Administration and Economics. The Economics Bachelor's course prepares students for various fields of activity in the national and international environment. Both offer well-grounded, high-quality and academic initial training and form an important foundation for a successful career entry or continuing studies in one of the Frankfurt Master's degree courses.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Internationality in research and teaching is a key criterion of quality for the department. This promotes a lively international exchange of academics and students through an international network of over 100 partner universities. Language skills can be acquired thanks to a wide range of business language courses in English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.

The department, as part of the Goethe University at the cultural and business hub Frankfurt am Main, concentrates on empirical and analytical research into entrepreneurial and macro-economic issues.

Support for founders

The Goethe University “Unibator” supports students, staff and alumni in the implementation of academic findings and emerging business ideas for marketable products and services. It provides a start-up programme for business founders with the aim of developing a sound business model. The Unibator, together with the research-intensive department of Economic Sciences, has set up a focus on FinTech. In addition, there are student initiatives involved in promoting start-ups, such as the Founders Club Frankfurt and Enactus.
