Special features regarding teaching

International Fashion Business combines Business Administration expertise with the specialisation in Retail and Fashion Business; qualifies students for leadership roles or a professional career. The study conditions in this economic degree programme are excellent due to the small number of places, its textile technological equipment and the business administration components included in the curriculum. Professors and lecturers know the industry and work with students on trade/industry projects. Networking with the industry works very well.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The globally networked textile industry depends on leaders that can move on the international stage. The programme is highly international in its orientation. There are courses in English, a semester taught in English and a compulsory semester abroad at one of our numerous partner universities. In addition, there is an excursion abroad each semester. Most recently to Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris, Milan, Turkey and the USA. International representatives are available.

A founding officer of the faculty and the university's Centre for Entrepreneurship advise and accompany the students. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) also provides on advisory services. Since winter semester 2016, there has been project funding to further expand the activities (start-up platform, seminars, start-up evenings, competitions).
