Special features regarding teaching

The events take place in small groups, which enables very close contact with the professors and lecturers. A tutor programme (from students for students) is offered as support. Practitioners regularly come to the events as guest speakers or lecturers. In order to ensure a broad practical relevance, the students complete a practical project (selected practical problems) and an accompanied internship.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The degree course supports a semester abroad in the 5th or 6th semester. Cooperation agreements exist with over 30 universities on all continents to ensure recognition of achievements acquired abroad.

Exchange universities for stay abroads

University of the West of Scotland, Vereinigtes Königreich; Istanbul Technical University, Türkei; Universidad de Alcalá, Spanien; Vilnius University, Litauen; University of Turku, Finnland; Charles Darwin University, Australien; National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan; University of Science and Technology, China; Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russland; Université du Québec à Montréal, Kanada.

Special features regarding the equipment

Several computer rooms that are used for application-oriented events as well as for students with individual workstations. A library with individual workplaces and the possibility to book rooms for study groups. Students receive all software programmes relevant to their studies free of charge via campus licenses.

Support for founders

There are regular start-up events. Networking with the university's start-up service (advisory services and support in submitting applications and arranging contacts with inventors).

Other special features

All events take place in the same building where the premises of all professors and lecturers are located. This creates very short distances for students and good contact between them.
