Special features regarding teaching

A particular strong point of the part-time course is the staffing. The team of lecturers combines expertise and entrepreneurial success. Students experience practical relevance in the courses. The concept of networking is also taken into account. Students not only benefit from each other, but also become acquainted with a wide range of experts whom they will be able to call on for corresponding questions (in connection with their Master's project or in their careers). The degree programme is characterised by a high percentage of attendance courses.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The team of lecturers incorporate international standards and practices into their teaching in a subject-appropriate manner. For example, “Marketing” in module 3 explicitly discusses the essential aspects of international marketing in view of the globalisation of markets (a special challenge for SMEs). Students are given deeper insights into international aspects through two elective modules, which imply a stay in an English-speaking country and are carried out in cooperation with international partner universities of the Aachen University of Applied Sciences.

Exchange universities for stay abroads

Hochschule Centria,Ylivieska, Finnland. Wahlmodul findet in Finnland statt. Da berufsbegleitend, ist kein längerer Austausch vorgesehen.

Special features regarding the equipment

Separate modern facilities at the Düren site with very good technical equipment and its own catering. Good transport links. All study materials are supplied via an online learning platform. Furthermore, all students have free access to the modern IT technology of the Aachen University of Applied Sciences with web-based BSCW workstations, virtual meeting rooms, computer rooms as well as IT-based study and exam organisation.

Support for founders

In the degree course, prospective business founders acquire the necessary business skills, soft skills and contacts to help them with the successful start and operation of their own businesses. They also benefit from a network of specialists with the appropriate expertise developed during their studies.

Other special features

The programme’s profile is shaped in particular by the Master’s project. This is where students learn to avail themselves of entrepreneurial opportunities and develop a sense for innovation and opportunities. The option to select a company representative as the Master thesis supervisor and second reviewer produces a combined teaching-coaching concept that allows graduates to receive an excellent education in management, leadership, team building, team work and market orientation.
