Special features regarding teaching

A wide array of innovative teaching formats are used in the form of blended learning, webinar lectures, self-organised learning, research-based learning, computer-aided simulation games, various learning locations and the use of online learning platforms. There is a high degree of practical relevance in teaching thanks to the professional experience of all teaching staff, practice projects integrated into the course and own labs such as the SkillsLab and Ambient Assisted Living Lab.

In particular, they conduct research projects in the fields of health and old age, nursing and digitalisation as well as youth and social work. The participating institutions are the Institute of Health and Generations, the Bavarian Research Centre for Digital Care, the Competence Centre for Empirical Youth Work and Social Research (JaSo) and the AAL Living Lab.
