Special features regarding teaching

The course includes sub-areas of Civil Engineering, Transport, Economics and Law and is therefore an inter-disciplinary subject, in which one of the disciplines of either Economics or Transport is studied in greater depth during the Master's degree course. The students therefore learn about the bigger picture and the integration of various disciplines from the very beginning. During the course of study at the various faculties you also receive a comprehensive look into the diverse world of research for the teaching fields concerned.

Special features regarding the international orientation

In the winter semester, BA students can select an elective module “Selected Chapters of Traffic Planning” taught by a post-doc from an English university (e.g. University College of London UCL) or the University FLINT (Michigan).

Exchange universities for stay abroads

National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapur, Singapur Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Peking, China

Special features regarding the equipment

The Centre for Transport has several state-of-the-art measurement facilities in the field of road construction and for traffic surveys. This equipment is also used within student projects and is made available for working on tasks within the scope of a thesis.

Special features regarding research activities

The research work in the field of Traffic Management Engineering ranges from Traffic Planning and Traffic Engineering tasks in private transport and public transport to a wide range of questions of freight transport to special optimisations.

Other special features

The subject of "Transport Industry Engineering" is unique in Germany in this form and combination and is an ideal compromise, if you are interested in transport and wish to be trained in the field of Engineering as well as in Economics.
