Students design, develop and evaluate software systems from the field of social media, in particular web and mobile applications. In doing so, they take into account the psychological and sociological needs of the users, business factors and the structural and organizational characteristics of the customers.

The Hamm-Lippstadt University has partnerships around the world and participates in exchange programmes in connection with Erasmus and summer schools at various universities. Most of the degree programmes require a semester or work placement abroad in the 5th semester (without extending the standard period of study), while the other degree programmes allow for an optional semester abroad, some courses are offered in English.

We are a young university with excellent facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, and numerous study areas (for group or single work) in the new buildings which we moved into in 2014 on our double campus in Hamm and Lippstadt. We offer market-oriented and practice-related courses, openness, tolerance, team orientation and high demands from the start. Existing partnerships offer many possibilities for innovation.
