Special features regarding teaching

Studies designed in close cooperation with companies as a degree programme with vocational and academic elements; Broad basic education through a balanced teaching of the current academic knowledge of Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Information Systems and general foundations; Experience in the field of online and hybrid teaching; Knowledge transfer in small groups; Practical work is closely interlinked with the partner companies and institutionalised at Schleswig-Holstein Cooperative State University (DHSH) as part of a duality concept

Special features regarding the international orientation

International student mobility is promoted through collaborations with the Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) in Ireland and the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB). The visit to WIT primarily includes language training. Participation in the “DHSH/UCSB Joint Programme” offers a combination of English language training with education in the latest technological trends in artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

A large lecture room has recently been completely modernised and equipped with the latest technology for presentations and project-based work (several screens for screen transmission, a large interactive monitor, wireless transmission via Airtame, an additional, third mobile monitor).

Special features regarding research activities

The Institute for Applied Research and Academic Continuing Education (Institut für angewandte Forschung und akademische Weiterbildung GmbH) is intended to enable the acquisition and implementation of publicly funded research and development projects as well as those commissioned by industry. The Faculty of Business Information Systems with its focus on data and knowledge management as well as modern software development can contribute to this in the following areas: Modern data management, AI, machine learning, data science, cloud computing.
