The University of Wuppertal currently maintains formalised partnership relationships with 67 institutions of higher education worldwide. Exchange with higher education institutions in Europe is additionally supported by more than 150 cooperation contracts within the ERASMUS+ framework.

Special features regarding the equipment

A variety of laboratories and large-scale equipment are available for teaching and research at the department, for example a 3D printing laboratory and numerous computer workstations for students. Green Lion Racing is the Formula Student Team of the University of Wuppertal. Formula Student is an international design competition conducted among students. The aim is to develop, design and ultimately market a racing vehicle that is as powerful as possible, in an effort to take part in national and international competitions.

Support for founders

The ‘bizeps’ start-up initiative is a competence network of the Bergisches Land Region, offering students, researchers and graduates advice and service on entrepreneurship. To emphasise the regional network there, bizeps is supported through the resources not only of the University of Wuppertal but of a large number of regional partners as well. Once a month, Founder’s table Wuppertal: A relaxed format for founders, creative people and those interested in starting a company, with exciting founder talks, idea patches and pizza & beer networking.
