Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The bachelor's degree programme in computer science has an excellent teacher-student ratio and provides a solid foundation in all core areas of general computer science with a focus on software development in the first four semesters. In the fifth and sixth semesters, freely selectable modules from various topics in computer science can be taken, e.g. computer vision, deep learning, web engineering, embedded software development, IT security, game development or virtual reality.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

In the first two semesters, the master's degree programme in computer science teaches additional computer science topics, their academic perspective and methods as well as the interdisciplinary skills in a mix of compulsory and elective modules. The modules in the first and second semesters can be studied independently of each other.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The Minden Campus regularly offers informational events for students about internships and studies abroad. The International Office is open to all students for advice and counselling on short stays, internships and study abroad programmes. Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSBI) cooperates with a large number of universities abroad.

Other special features

HSBI Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences also pursues important cross-cutting themes such as diversity and sustainability.
