A major research focus at the department is the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of engineering and its use in teaching (AI workshop).

Other special features

In addition to the good IT equipment at the faculty, due to the close association with Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering, there is also access to laboratory equipment such as the virtual reality system, 3D printers, NC machines, etc. The relation to practice that is achieved as a result of this provides added value that few Computer Science courses are likely to offer.
