Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

Very high proportion of practice-relevant exercises.; Exercises in small groups; Largely digitally supported teaching with, e.g. audience response systems, digital quizzes, learning level checks, short videos on more complex topics.; Intensive networking between students and other classes and lecturers.; Very good technical equipment in the laboratories, such as mobile robotics, medical devices and industry-specific software.; High level of service in the event of difficulties.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

The department is characterised by a close link between research, practice and teaching. Due to the high proportion of compulsory elective courses, students can, on the one hand, orient their profile according to their own wishes and skills and, on the other hand, teachers can incorporate their research areas into the teaching. The interdisciplinary Master's degree programme in Business Information Technology also includes a very diverse study group, which enables all participants of the Master's degree programmes to communicate with students who have other pre-qualifications.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The Konstanz University of Applied Sciences has numerous Erasmus partner universities and supports stays abroad. In addition, it is characterized by geographical proximity to Switzerland and Austria. Accordingly, the proportion of Swiss employers for final theses, working students and also for career entry is high. The university is also part of the four-country region of Lake Constance and thus also has an international and cooperative orientation.
