Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

Broad education in physical geography, human geography and geographic human-environment research with numerous opportunities for individual specialisation. Diverse environmental science opportunities in elective modules in the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources. In addition to the B.Sc. in geography, the dual subject bachelor's degree can be used to obtain a teaching qualification (M.Ed.) or continue in a specialist master's degree programme.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

Training in the geography of global warming with extensive opportunities for individual specialisation and variable physical and human geography components. Specialisation options in elective modules of the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources. Research-oriented specialisations qualify for a subsequent doctoral degree.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Wide range of Erasmus collaborations. Within the framework of the EUCOR European Campus network (Basel, Mulhouse, Strasbourg, Karlsruhe), courses can be taken and recognised across countries, and students can also participate in semesters. Opportunity to promote stays and activities within the framework of EPICUR (European Partnership for an Innovative Campus Unifying Regions).
