Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The bachelor's degree programme provides a sound basis for future professional life. It teaches concepts and models related to the specialised focus as well as the associated disciplines and allows students to apply them in practice Interprofessionalism of teaching also makes it possible to take different perspectives of a topic. In addition, students benefit from a wide range of international collaborations and can familiarise themselves with their future professional lives in the university's internal simulation rooms (skills lab).

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

While the bachelor's degree programme lays the foundations in the respective subject area, the consecutive master's degree programmes allow students to deepen their knowledge in the areas of pedagogy and management. In addition, the Master´s degree programme in palliative care is an interprofessional academic course that prepares students for current and future challenges in palliative care in different care settings.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The faculty offers students the opportunity to complete short practical phases and projects abroad. In addition, there are partnerships with universities in other European and non-European countries (e.g. Switzerland, the Netherlands, Romania, Estonia, Denmark, Brazil) in which international experiences are made possible through cooperative courses (including a blended intensive programme) and excursions. Stays abroad for internships or thesis phases abroad can be supported by scholarships.
