Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme
Master's degree with specialisation in Nature Conservation, practically-oriented courses, partnerships with companies in the region. Significant involvement of the many non-university institutions (Max Planck Institutes, Fraunhofer Institutes, Leibniz Institutes) in teaching, especially in the master's degree programmes with jointly appointed institute boards. Very good modern large-scale equipment (e.g. analytics, microscopy), which is also used in teaching.
Special features regarding the international orientation
Master's courses in English, cooperation with international graduate schools (e.g. IMPRS) in the region, planned exchange with Australian universities and universities in Venezuela.
