The close integration of Computer Science and Electrical and Electronic Engineering is what characterises the profile of the degree courses.; Mainly application-oriented Computer Science degree courses with technical applications and specialisation in the areas of image processing, system design and sensor technology; An interdisciplinary specialisation in Medical Informatics in cooperation with the Faculty of Life Sciences.

Hybrid courses include blended intensive programmes (BIP), summer and winter schools, seminar papers, project work, Bachelor's and Master's theses and extracurricular courses.

The close integration of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Computer Science into one discipline determines the profile of Computer Science at the Universität Siegen. Profile areas are Visual Computing, Sensorics, Embedded Systems. International projects in the Centre for Sensor Technology (ZESS) and participation in concrete projects on an international level: - European University ATHENA (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network), - European Training Network MENELAOS NT, - MSCA COFUND STAR (EU exchange programme for post-doctoral studies) - EMINENT (European Master on Embedded Intelligence Nanosystems Engineering).
