Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

Courses are offered by three higher education institutions: Leibniz University Hannover, University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover and Hannover offer a wide range of teaching excellence with numerous elective options. There is a mobility option in all degree programmes. In addition to biological research modules, courses can also be taken at NIFE: the Lower Saxony Centre for Biomedical Engineering, Implant Research and Development; the Institute of Plant Sciences, ZAP, offers a lecture series on current research.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

Microbiology/virology modules are offered by three institutions of higher education: Leibniz University Hanover, Hanover University of Veterinary Medicine Foundation and Hanover Medical School.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The Leibniz Universität Hannover maintains the Office for International Affairs which has a wide range of exchange programmes and gives students qualified advice. An international team was founded at the Faculty of Natural Sciences to network the individual subjects with each other. A joint seminar with NEU Boston is offered.

It is easy to switch between the different Bachelor's degree courses of the Faculty of nature Sciences, including the Teaching Qualification Programme. There are numerous Master's degree programmes in Biology: Molecular Microbiology, Plant Biotechnology, Landscape Sciences at the LUH; A Master´s degree programme in Animal Biology & Biomedical Sciences is offered by the TiHo.; Master's degree programme in Biomedicine, Biomedical Data Science and Biochemistry at the MHH.
