Further information provided by the department

Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

Very large number of internships Early training in scientific writing Project work with development of a research project in the third semester A compulsory elective academic degree concludes with a scientific publication

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

It is not possible to provide general statements, as there are eight master's degree programmes. All of these programmes deal with current research topics in teaching, and all of the allow students to pursue independent research projects.

Special features regarding the international orientation

A statement on special features cannot be made, as a department and a special scientific institution are involved. Both are very international in their orientation, in terms of coordinated programs (Erasmus) and at the level of individual work groups, from which the students benefit. This last level is probably more crucial.

Special features regarding the equipment

A statement cannot be made about special features because a department and special scientific unit are involved. There is a huge technology platform, which also includes many non-university institutions, see DRESDEN-concept.

Special features regarding research activities

A general statement cannot be made, as a department and a special scientific institution are involved. The research environment in Dresden is too vast, almost all-encompassing, to be listed here individually. The information is available on dresden-concept and all students are aware of this.
