Institute of Medical Training and Academic Affairs, core philosophy: "Creating value through appreciation", in other words, individual supervision in the smallest possible cohorts (half-year admission); modularised reformed curriculum with the core objectives: Knowledge, decision-making, action (treat), highly practical, for example, through MS academic hospital; Learning Centre for Individualised Medical Activity Training and Development; curricular e-learning; compulsory ultrasound courses; POL.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Permanently installed international department in the Institute of Medical Training and Academic Affairs; Facilitation of individual and cooperative stays abroad in the clinical phase of study in Europe and abroad; Support for the feasibility of nursing placements, clinical traineeships and practical year trimesters abroad; efforts towards "internationalisation at home" in the form of mentoring programmes or similar.; Integration of foreign exchange students into the normal course of study.; International appointments per invitation, teaching in English also outside of graduate colleges.

Other special features

Germany's only "Learning Centre for Individualised Medical Activity Training and Development" with 24 mini patient rooms, each in the form of 12 pieces of cake arranged around a central observation room. The rooms are used, in particular, to teach and test clinical reasoning, the processes of examination, thinking, taking action and making decisions. Centrally located teaching building with modern multimedia technology; Medicampus lounge; Pathology-Anatomy-Neuropathology Centre.
