Special features regarding research activities

Together with non-university research facilities (Lin, DZNE, HZI, MPI), the medical faculty maintains the two key areas of research "immunology and molecular medicine of inflammation" and "neurosciences" with their high-resolution invasive and non-invasive imaging. Their further development and translation-focused networking with the technical faculties as well as regional SMEs in conjunction with image-guided, minimally invasive intervention form the basis for innovative approaches in medical technology and thus for individualized patient care.
