SINUZ skills lab, new student laboratories, free practice with student tutors, structured doctoral seminar, live demos with patients, cooperation with kindergartens, student interdisciplinary symposium on dentistry, strong student participation and participation in various teaching bodies.

Digital patient file including PACS; CAD/CAM production; Dental surgical microscopes; Digital X-ray/DVT.

Special features regarding research activities

Availability of molecular biology investigation methods, cell culture, histomorphometry, immunohistology and immunocytology and hard-cut histology in the centre's own laboratory; Availability of advanced proteomics and transcriptomics as well as microscopic and fluorescent microscopic high-resolution techniques in the faculty's own service units; Focus areas are carcinogenic and prognostic factors of oral squamous cell carcinoma, tissue engineering of bones, osteoarthritis of the TMJ, cell and bacterial material interactions.

Other special features

The Skills Lab provides state-of-the-art technology for curricular and extracurricular teaching. There is a master unit for demonstrations with corresponding transmission in all Sinuz rooms, eight computer work stations, a digital dental video unit, four Simodonts and a digital scanning and milling unit (zirconium tooth) for student training.
