Special features regarding the equipment

The Bonn Technology Campus (BTC) Life Sciences bundles established and new research infrastructures/core facilities (bioinformatics, cell programming, flow cytometry, gene editing, human 3T MRI, microscopy, nanobodies, next generation sequencing, proteomics, virus, zebrafish) in a uniform organisational and user concept. The BTC includes support for established researchers and young academics and a comprehensive teaching concept for advanced methods and techniques for young scientists in the Life Sciences department.

Other special features

At the end of 2021, the Sustainability division was implemented at the Faculty of Medicine and acts as an interface between the University Hospital Bonn (UKB) and the University of Bonn. Focus within the faculty is placed on areas such as the sustainability aspect in everyday work, committee and event management as well as an ideas competition. The division is rounded off by the Sustainability Commission meeting to promote sustainable projects in research, teaching, health care and administration as well as the Sustainability Assembly as a tool for networking.
