Research at the Institute of Digital Change (research on topics such as business intelligence, Internet of Things, cloud computing, automation, digitally transformed business processes, business cases & business models, digital design, systems engineering, IT security & data protection, ethics of digitalisation), research in the field of marketing and distribution (also integrated in teaching), research in the field of physical engineering (e.g. on technology development and natural sciences in technology), research and research supervision by the professorship of Business Psychology

University’s own start-up centre LAB4DTE as well as other concrete advisory structures and training programmes for starting a company, also as concrete teaching content (e.g. elective course "Business Start-ups", business plan creation in a compulsory module, course "Design Thinking" and regular business founders’ get-together)

RWU's degree course management and central facilities as a family-friendly university provide advice to students in special situations (e.g. students with children, care obligations, illness and disability, psychological stress/illness), RWU's Career Service supports students with all questions relating to searching or applying for jobs, academic development support from professors, e.g. if students wish to continue their studies in a Master's or doctoral degree, open-door culture (familial atmosphere)
