The Faculty of Business of the University of Europe, Iserlohn, stands for sound management education geared towards industry requirements. We cooperate with well-known companies and have access to a network offering numerous work placements and career openings. Experts from practice are integrated into lectures. The international character arises from semesters abroad and projects as well as the fact that some courses are taught in English.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The growing importance of international exchange and the consideration of intercultural skills are underlined by the explicit offer of corresponding courses in the respective curricula of the individual degree courses. In addition, there are mandatory stays abroad in most courses. Our university has an international focus, both in terms of teaching staff and the student body.

Special features regarding research activities

Application-oriented research is an elementary component of practice-oriented teaching, which is a hallmark of the UE's educational model. At the heart of our research is the concept of "human-centred innovation". Human in this context means ethical, sustainable and experience-oriented. For the UE, this means pursuing an interdisciplinary and agile research strategy that adapts to market requirements and enables innovative combinations of research content. We make our research as open as possible through the development of the UE publisher.

Support for founders

Bachelor’s degree programmes include extension studies that allow students to focus on Entrepreneurship. In addition, students receive direct support from lecturers in their start-up projects. Contacts with the business world are also established when needed. Furthermore, the university also provides financial support for students by way of the alumni and friends of the university associations.

Other special features

Corporate Social Responsibility is an important educational task for the university. This includes not only an offer of subjects focusing on CSR and sustainability, but also the opportunity to get involved in various departments in the CSR area (BiTS2Society, BiTSVision).
