The maths meeting point supports students in the initial phase and a refresher course is offered every year for first-semester students to make the transition from school to university easier. The teacher-student ratio is very good and there are always innovative teaching formats.

Special features regarding the equipment
The new rooms on the Weinberg campus offer students attractive external conditions (lecture theatres, library, PC rooms, cafeteria), close to the science faculties, everything close by and good transport links. The reconstruction of the building carried out in 2013 has resulted in studying conditions that are even more improved.

The joint research focus is the modelling, analysis and simulation of complex systems involving discrete and continuous, deterministic and stochastic structures. The fields of analysis, numerical mathematics, stochastics, optimisation and group theory are represented.
