Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The B.Sc. core subject in computer science (with relatively few applied subjects amounting to 25 CP) ensures that students take a large number of computer science courses, while the B.Sc. major in computer science (120 CP) allows students to combine computer science with a variety of humanities and linguistics courses (amounting to 60 CP).

Founder of the worldwide computer science literature database DBLP (Digital Bibliography and Library Project); partner of the Schloss Dagstuhl, the Leibniz Centre for Informatics (globally recognised meeting centre for computer science); numerous international cooperations; research with international awards; in addition, local close collaboration with Business Informatics, Mathematics, Geoinformatics and Computational Linguistics. The Centre for Informatics Research and Technology is the central contact point of the University of Trier for all research projects and topics in the IT sector.
