Profound basic theoretical training, including academic work and ethics; Broad range of application-oriented subjects in the field of Computer Science; students can determine field of study already in the Bachelor's degree course (Medical Informatics).

Nine possible study areas in the Master's degree programme (Big Data Management, Vehicle Informatics, Hardware/Software System Analysis and Design, Industrial Data Science, IT Security, Medical Informatics, Networked Systems, Robotics, Visual Computing); Extensive selection of minors; Broad range of electives in the Master's programme; Practical work, e.g. an internship in the software engineering industry.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Bachelor's: There is a mobility window in the 5th/6th semester; Master's: Due to the great freedom of choice, a semester abroad is possible at any time. In particular, the ERASMUS programme offers a wide range of exchange opportunities for computer science at European universities. Furthermore, Master's students can apply for research internship scholarships at the NII Tokyo. The Department of Computer Science has also maintained an officially certified cooperation with the IIT Bombay of the renowned Indian elite university for several years. Double degree with CoDaS in computer science possible.
