There is very good supervision and individual support in small groups. The institute's equipment, e.g. in practicals, is state-of-the-art. Individual interests are promoted through the range of numerous optional courses.

Students are involved in international research cooperations of the work groups, the proportion of students of a class who take advantage of this option for exchange is about 20 percent.
