Gießen model (small study groups to accompany lectures). Practice-oriented teaching incorporates high-calibre practitioners (judges at the Federal Constitutional Court, Federal Administrative Court, Federal Social Court, Federal Court of Justice, top lawyers), especially in the specialisations, key skills, in moot courts, legal clinics and practitioner seminars. Free comprehensive exam preparation “UniRep”. Teaching in English, French and Spanish. Strong interdisciplinary approach with bridges to Social Science, focus: Peace and conflict research, digitalisation, innovative/current cross-cutting themes. Mediation training, regular evaluation; Visiting lecturer from University of Madison (USA).

Wide, excellent research portfolio of the professorships (including sports law, spree killings, compliance, comparative law, environmental law, basic research: MPI Director). Support for founders

Start-up support services of the Entrepreneurship Cluster Central Hesse (ECM) for students, graduates and research assistants of the three Central Hesse universities in Gießen and Marburg. Regional joint project "StartMiUp" supports those interested in starting a business (interdisciplinary) and facilitates steps towards self-employment, especially for students and alumni. Free advisory service iRd StartUp-Clinic for potential business founders, from the start-up idea to implementation (legal and business advice).
