Special features regarding research activities

The Centre for Quantum Biosciences promotes joint research at the interface of quantum technology, chemistry, biology and medicine. In the SALVE project, sensitive (bio)samples are examined with a low-voltage electron microscope with subatomic resolution. In the IQST, quantum technologies are developed to improve sensor technology with applications in the life sciences. In research networks, physicists work on the study of biomolecules in order to understand how they function in organisms and the principles underlying life processes.
