Special features regarding teaching

The EBS consistently prepares its students to take responsibility in times of change and to actively shape the future. For this purpose, the EBS relies equally on imparting the necessary specialist skills as well as on the personal development of the students, e.g. through extra-curricular activities, coaching and social projects. In the sense of a co-creation approach, training formats are particularly important, in which business partners are systematically integrated into the course, thus ensuring the highest degree of practical relevance.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The EBS offers its students an international learning experience. This is expressed in English as a mandatory language of instruction and an international student body. Compulsory semesters abroad in BSc and MSc programmes at renowned partner universities, including 14 offering the option of a double degree. Compatibility with the international semester cycle and a high proportion of international faculties. International aspects of Business Administration and Economics as well as training in intercultural skills are systematically integrated into the curriculum.

Special features regarding the equipment

37 lecture halls of different sizes with projectors or interactive flip charts and whiteboards as well as smart touchscreens; 21 research/work PCs in 2 libraries: Software (including SPSS, Office; of which 12 are Bloomberg Terminals and 3 Thomsan Reuters Terminals); 50 examination notebooks for flexible usage; Printers/copiers, free scan-to-email service & campus-wide WiFi; Student portal with webmail, discussion forums and database access, free Office 365.

Special features regarding research activities

Research on topics of high academic and economic / social relevance, published in ranked international journals / conference proceedings and practice-oriented journals. Many research projects with international partners as well as high participation of doctoral students and cross-departmental cooperation within the university (cross-disciplinary).

Support for founders

Large network of successful business founders among the EBS alumni; Teaching theory and best practices of entrepreneurship (Bachelor’s degree: Teaching of theory with a strong practical focus through guest lectures by company founders and industry experts, Master’s degree course: Start-up & New Business Development: Close contact between students and companies with close supervision and coaching in very small groups to develop business models); Open-ended tasks help students to become independent, who organise independently the annual EBSpreneurship Forum.

Other special features
