Special features regarding teaching

The professors are easy to reach and close by. Exercises and colloquia for the lectures are offered several times to enable working in smaller groups and to ensure flexible lesson planning to avoid overlap for the students. Participation of guest lecturers and practical partners in research seminars, lectures and excursions. Involving students in practice and research projects. Numerous student exchange programmes. Growing scope of e-learning and blended learning (e.g. Wikis, webinars, Flipped Classrooms).

Special features regarding the international orientation

Double degree with a French university, double degree MSc Business Administration Roskilde University (from summer semester 2024), international Master’s lectures. International exchange programme offers a wide range of options for a semester abroad. Numerous international research programmes (e.g. Kiel Centre for Globalisation) and numerous international cooperation partners.

Access to the Central Library for Economics at the Institute for the World Economy with almost 2 million volumes, Institute library with around 120,000 volumes and 340 journals, online research systems, remote access to company databases and software, numerous PC workstations in the Institute's own computer laboratory and at the university computer centre. New specialised library building with modern workspaces.
