Special features regarding the international orientation

The Institute of Electrical and Information Technology is involved in several international degree courses (Electrical Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optoelectronics & Photonics). Some elective events are therefore also offered in English. Collaborations exist for semesters abroad and research with many foreign universities.

Support for founders

TecUP Paderborn: Central office of the University of Paderborn for business start-ups and knowledge transfer measures. A Transfer Scout introduces students and doctoral students to the services of TecUP and Garage33 (incubator). There are regular workshops for those interested in starting a business. A professor of the faculty (Prof. Scheytt) acts as a Start-up Ambassador and adviser. As part of the Excellence Start-Up Centre OWL, students are provided with further services, such as workshops, courses, advice, coaching.

The Paderborn Economic Engineers distinguish themselves through their ability to work across disciplines and with integrated strategies. The course fosters and promotes individual initiatives, the willingness to perform, creativity and the ability to communicate.
