Special features regarding teaching

Branches of study in the Bachelor's degree course in Process Engineering: General process engineering, computer-aided process engineering (CAPE), bioprocess engineering; Bachelor's programme in Energy Process Engineering offers compulsory elective modules in four competency fields: Renewable Energies, Fossil and Nuclear Energy Engineering, Computer-Aided Engineering, Cross-Cutting Technology; Catalogue of 14 optional required modules in the Master's degree course (in particular Bioprocess Engineering); can be freely expanded upon request.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Through intensive contacts abroad (e.g. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, PR China, Taiwan, India) of individual professors of the faculty, a number of practical semesters and final thesis are carried out abroad. In relation to the number of students, the faculty is at the top of the TH Nürnberg.

Special features regarding the equipment

Laboratories for Thermal Process Engineering (pilot scale, almost unique among German universities), Mechanical Process Engineering, Bio-Processing Technology, Heat and Mass Transfer, Computer-Aided Engineering, Energy Process Engineering and Process Automation; Computer labs and computer training rooms with the latest engineering software.

Special features regarding research and development

Research-intensive faculty; Above-average third-party funding per professor; Activities in the areas of product design and energy and raw materials efficiency; Supervision from academic collaborators with the aim of a doctorate; Possibility of student involvement through work as student assistants; Close collaboration with industry, other institutions of higher education and universities as well as external research institutions; Involvement of professors in research facilities such as the Energy Campus, the Nuremberg Campus of Technology and H2Ohm

Support for founders
