Special features regarding teaching

In addition to the 14 professors (and 2 honorary professors), 12 full-time "Teachers for special tasks" (Lehrkräfte für besondere Aufgaben) work in the Bachelor's degree course in Social Work. They communicate specific content and in particular also enhance/supplement the practical relevance of the teaching. It is thanks to this personnel situation that a variety of specialisations can be offered and theory content as well as additional skills can be practised and consolidated in project and exercise groups in a practically relevant manner.

Special features regarding research activities

With the research focus area "Analysing and Promoting Health", Coburg University of Applied Sciences is represented on the Research Map of the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). The focus of the research is on health promotion and primary prevention. The participating researchers work on projects that aim to maintain and promote the state of health, quality of life, performance as well as the mobility and autonomy of people in their social-spatial environment.
