Special features regarding teaching

Attractive specialisations and options allow you to individually design your studies. Numerous extracurricular offers allow you to sharpen your profile even more. The teaching at the University of Hohenheim is characterised by high academic standards and relevant practical relevance as well as supportive offers. This was confirmed in 2019 in the Wirtschaftswoche ranking with two top ten positions for the Hohenheim degree programmes.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Comprehensive advisory services on stays abroad, recognition issues and double degree programmes are available at the faculty. An annual summer school opens up opportunities for international exchange. The thematic network INEF, the China competence project CHIKOH and other offers enable financial and content support. The International Day and the Buddy Programme also support internationalisation at the University of Hohenheim.

Special features regarding the equipment

The faculty offers its researchers and young academics access to numerous databases, including in the data lab (DALAHO), as well as a powerful Compute server and relevant data analysis software. Statistical-econometric questions can be evaluated using the "Data and Statistical Consulting" (DSC) module. Students can have statistical advice for empirical seminar and thesis work as a special service.

The research activities at the faculty are diverse and extensive. In addition to the classic, also intra- and interdisciplinary research of the individual subject areas with university and non-university partners, research priorities were defined.

Support for founders

The Hohenheim startup garage as well as additional start-up tables and advice from student groups promote student start-ups.

Other special features

During your studies you have the opportunity to carry out research-learning projects. The Hohenheim Career Centre supports the transition between studying and professional life. This facility provides contacts with trade and industry and addresses the area of the professional world through work placements, events and seminars on key qualifications. At the end of the course, graduates can be placed with companies.
