Special features regarding teaching

The course of study prepares students for a wide range of professional activities. The two specialisations can be chosen from a total of 19 different main subjects. Students benefit throughout the entire course from taking part in small-group teaching activities and from a personalised learning environment. Large choice of practical complementary subjects. Teaching in modern rooms equipped for hybrid teaching.

Large number of university collaborations/exchange programmes; Extended mobility window from the 5th to the 7th semester in all Bachelor’s degree courses; International Management Certificates (30 ECTS in English); English-language degree programmes: BSc International Business, MSc Marketing, MBA CSR & NGO Management; Summer school programmes in the USA and Kenya; Regular visiting lecturers from abroad

Special features regarding the equipment

Sankt Augustin: Modern media equipment in all seminar rooms. Four PC clusters with more than 100 PCs. In each seminar room, projector and PC (approx. 30 rooms). Among other things installed software: SPSS, SAP, simulation software, ARIS, MS-Project, MS-Visio, MS-Office. Office365 as a free offer during your studies. Digital smart boards and flipcharts. Innovative conference systems. Encrypted WiFi throughout the university; Personal email address and cloud storage. Eduroam enables WiFi access at European universities / institutions.

Support for founders

Postgraduate Master's degree course Start-up Development (MBA), courses with a high degree of practical relevance cover various subject areas such as innovation, development of business models, preparation of a business plan and implementation in the market. The “Start-up-Manufaktur” (Start-up Factory) offers a cross-faculty start-up curriculum. Cross-university networking events on start-ups, funding and business establishment. Close cooperation with the Business Campus and the Digital Hub Bonn. Centre for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and SMEs (CENTIM).

Other special features

Close links with local and national industry through events, teaching appointments, lecture series. Company advisory board of the faculty. Green Office as an interdisciplinary university group by and for students with the aim of raising awareness for sustainability. Diversity management: Currently approx. 50 projects, areas of responsibility and measures that contribute to increasing diversity competence and work towards equal opportunities. 2021: "Creating Diversity" certificate awarded by the Stifterverband association.
