Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The courses are topical and offer a unique variety of topics. Not only do academic staff have international research and practice-based expertise in all areas of political science, but they also have a wide variety of (academic) theoretical and methodological approaches which are conveyed and applied in their teaching. This provides students with direct insight into the diversity of the subject as well as the different opportunities for the production of knowledge based on research and critical reflection.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

The way the MA degree courses in political sciences are taught is dynamic thanks to their thematic diversity, the broad range of expertise of academic staff, and the extensive offering of English-language courses. Students benefit in particular from the close links between research and teaching, which are conveyed in skill-based teaching formats. There are also international guest lectureships and lecture series.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Student exchange with NYU; BIP: With this programme it is possible to participate in an Erasmus exchange for a seminar; Wide range of English-language courses (especially in the Master's degree programmes); Regular visiting lecturers from foreign universities; International networking of lecturers through research projects and international cooperations.
